Due to a hamstring injury, Washington Sundar will miss the remainder of the IPL in 2023

Washington Sundar, an all-rounder for Sunrisers Hyderabad, was on Thursday declared out for the rest of this IPL owing to a hamstring injury, which was a major blow to the underdog group.

Sundar's injury and impending absence from the remainder of the IPL were disclosed by the team.

The 23-year-old all-around bowler has featured in seven games and taken three wickets at an average of 48.66 and an economy of 8.26. He scored 60 runs with the bat, with a 24 not out best score, an average of 15, and a strike rate of 100.

The Tamil Nadu player suffered split webbing in his bowling hand during the previous IPL, which was another ailment he had had.

In the current 10-team standings, SRH are mired in ninth place with two victories and five defeats from their first seven games.
