Peter Pan & Wendy, one of Disney's most eagerly awaited films of the year, is slated to make its digital streaming debut this week. The American fantasy adventure movie, which is a live-action remake of Walt Disney's 1953 animated picture Peter Pan, has fans eager to see the fabled “Neverland” once again.

This week, the movie will have its premiere on OTT juggernaut Disney+ Hotstar. The streaming of Peter Pan & Wendy will commence on April 28, 2023 at midnight.

The live-action version of the story, which is helmed by David Lowery, stars Alexander Molony as Peter Pan, Jude Law as Captain Hook, Ever Anderson as Wendy Darling, and Yara Shahidi as Tinker Bell. In order to get out of going to boarding school, Wendy Darling, a young girl, finds Peter Pan, a boy who won't grow up. She embarks on a journey with Peter to the fantastical realm of Neverland with her brothers and a little fairy named Tinker Bell. She meets Captain Hook, a wicked pirate captain, there, and sets off on a fascinating and perilous journey that will permanently alter her life.
History is Made by Peter Pan and Wendy
Disney created history with Peter Pan & Wendy before it ever hit theatres by casting a Down syndrome actor in the movie. Down syndrome sufferer Noah Matthews Matofsky will play the character Slightly in the movie.
The casting director of Peter Pan & Wendy said that it wasn't intended to hire an actor with the chromosomal condition for the part of Slightly in the movie. “I can tell that while filmmaker David Lowery requested us to look for children to play the Lost Boys and Girls with a focus on performers with disabilities, the part was not created for a Down syndrome actor. The leading candidate for Slightly, according to casting director Debra Zane, was Noah among those who auditioned.
