“Tell Rohit Sharma to come bowl,” Anil Kumble begs Yashasvi Jaiswal, the Indian captain, to do

The five-match Test series between India and England is already underway, and Yashasvi Jaiswal is playing well. The 22-year-old has made it clear that he is here to stay as far as the Test squad is concerned by smashing a few double-hundreds in the series so far. Anil Kumble, a former spinner for India, had one specific request for Jaiswal, despite his performance. One of the greatest leg-spinners to have ever played the game, Kumble, encouraged Jaiswal to keep honing his leg-spin and even persuaded captain Rohit Sharma to let him bowl a few overs.

Jaiswal was instrumental in his team’s 434-run victory against England in the third Test, which took place at Rajkot. He hit an undefeated 214 in the match. When India entered the field without R. Ashwin on Day 3, the left-handed hitter was seen sliding his arm across to provide the hosts with more bowling options if necessary. He also sometimes bowls leg-spin.

Following the conclusion of the third Test, Kumble commented to Jaiswal on JioCinema, “Excellent batting. However, I want you to keep going because I’ve seen that you naturally twist your legs. Indeed, as well as action. Thus, persist with it. Since you never know when anything can come in useful,. Even though you’re working so hard on it, you realize you’ve had a back spasm. Tell the captain to roll over a couple of overs.

In response, Jaiswal said that he is still practicing bowling since captain Rohit has instructed him to be prepared to bowl at any point throughout the series. “I go bowling, bowling, bowling all the time. When Rohit instructed me to get ready, I claimed that I was, and Jaiswal answered in the affirmative.

Up, Jaiswal and Sarfaraz Khan of Mumbai put up an undefeated 172-run partnership in only 158 balls, tearing away England’s bowling arsenal and giving India a commanding 556-run advantage.
