Regarding the local Mumbai Indians players, MI coach Devieka Palshikaar said, “I can say there is no pressure at all.”

The women’s team of the Mumbai Indians is preparing for the second Women’s Premier League, where they will defend their championship. Among the Indian players, Harmanpreet Kaur and Saika Ishaque gave the MI team a strong push for the championship in the first season of the competition.
Batting coach Devieka Palshikaar has said that there is no pressure on the local players, despite the fact that not many Indian players participated for the championship-winning team the previous year. “I can speak about the MI players because I don’t believe they can handle any pressure given the environment we have. I can say that there is no pressure at all for MI since our native Indian players compete on par with players from other countries,” Palshikaar told PTI.

In the inaugural season, Hayley Mathews and Nat Sciver-Brunt were two of the international players that were essential to the MI team. Notably, Meg Lanning and Sophie Ecclestone, two international players, were notably outstanding for other teams as well. Yastika Bhatia, the MI wicketkeeper batter, has said that she has gained a lot of knowledge from them. The worldwide stars taught me a lot of valuable lessons.

They are currently representing the MI squad in the WPL after excelling for their nations, the speaker said.

“I batted in the opening (slot) with Hayley Mathews.” We used to discuss a lot in between overs about how to go with the power play or how to approach the following over,” she said.

She used to ask me, “Are you doing fine?,” and would often aid me and soothe me. In the previous competition, Bhatia remarked, “Even Nat Sciver (Brunt) had really impressed me and the last two innings which he played for us really inspired me.”
